The Bigger Meaning Behind SFTHTitle
There is no question SFTH is a lot of fun and a great way to stay connected with industry colleagues. There is also a very personal reason for the event. And to understand that, you just need to ask Larry Davis, Drilling Manager with Basin Engineering.
Larry will tell you how his granddaughter Lily was born with a congenital heart defect that threatened her life. The research from the American Heart Association provided surgeons with the knowledge they needed to successfully treat Lily.
"We want to support the work of the American Heart Association because heart disease and strokes continue to pose life threatening risks to so many and this is one way we can give back" said Larry Davis.
Craig Northcutt, Basin Engineering President, added "Heart disease and strokes are among the leading causes of death in the U.S. and we appreciate all that the AHA is doing to improve outcomes. We are also thankful for all the support from our industry colleagues".
