Talk with Alan About Your Project

Alan Pfortmiller
Senior Completion/Reservoir Engineer

On any given day you will find Alan meeting with clients over the phone or at the wellsite, helping them design and execute the right fluid mix for the rock.

His extensive experience in chemical stimulation and completion engineering combine to deliver cost saving results for our clients.

Some clients have told us they previously hired 3 separate individuals to do the work that Alan is able to provide individually.  Not only has this translated to savings, Alan's expertise has yielded improved results.

Quick Case Study
Effective downhole H2S mitigation saves wells.

In two recent projects, the oil companies were confronted with high levels of H2S and SRB, to a level that threatened the viability of the wells.

The operators contacted Basin Engineering for help in designing a solution. Basin evaluated the situation and recommended changing the chemical mix to effectively treat the H2S and SRB downhole during the fracing process.

After treatment, the well was able to produce a marketable end product, saving both wells from the risk of shut in.
